The major figures in these papers are Alfred and Annie O. Tiffany Mitchell, whose correspondence, diaries, writings, financial accounts, photographs and other memorabilia make up the major part of the papers. Of particular interest is a long series of letters from their daughter, Charly Tiffany Mitchell Jeans.
