This collection includes bookplates of the various residential colleges affiliated with the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, both of which are located in England.
The collection contains seventeen notebooks from Bristed's undergraduate and graduate studies at Yale and Cambridge universities from the late 1830s to mid 1840s, chiefly on classical authors and texts, including translations, and mathematics, as well as a catalog of his books, several letters, a diary, a receipt, and two printed books, including Bristed's Anacreontics, published under the pseudonym Carl Benson.
The records consist of correspondence, reports, financial papers, memoranda, sponsor forms, and case files on individual guests documenting the activities and operations of the Faculty Committee on Receiving Oxford and Cambridge Children.

Collection of letters addressed to Hutton by various correspondents (including copies of a few of Hutton's own letters); many concern Parliamentary Candidates for Cambridge University, and nearly all of Cambridge interest, discussing College and University matters.
