Grant, Francis, Sir, 1803-1878
Found in 4 Collections and/or Records:
Marked private. Grant writes about a Royal Academy issue, beginning with: "The Royal Academy has[?] no occasion to apologize to any gentleman for not asking them to their[?] party…." Additional annotations, probably in Redgrave's hand, on the back of the letter. Letter and annotation difficult to decipher.
In an almost indecipherable hand, Grant appears to write about the arrangements for an exhibition of old master works, listing paintings in the hands of various private collections for potential display. [return to]
