Kevin Killian (1952-2019) was an American poet, writer, editor, and playwright. Killian and co-editor Peter Gizzi won the American Book Award for poetry in 2009 for My Vocabulary Did This to Me: The Collected Poetry of Jack Spicer (Middletown, Conn.: Wesleyan University Press, 2008). He was a co-founder of the Poets Theater performance group in San Francisco. Killian was married to Dodie Bellamy.
