ALS to his wife, who is ill, asking her to telegraph every day and promising to come home if summoned. Accompanied by original envelope, the lower right corner of which has been cut off.

ALS to his wife, who is soon to move to Kansas City with their children to join him. He specifies which furniture and pictures he would like her to bring, and apologizes for not writing more often during their separation.

ALS on the verso of a proof sheet for the title page of his brother Roswell Martin Field's In Sunflower Land, offering it as a gift with three other proofs of the same, and noting that he and his brother collaborated on the title for the book.
