The records consist of administrative and subject files, annual reports, financial records, publications, and correspondence documenting the activities of the Institute of Human Relations at Yale. Topics include fund-raising, special studies, associations and conferences, fellowships, and research.
Miscellaneous Letters Collection is a collection of hundreds of individual letters or small groups of letters, mostly by physicians and scientists, either donated to the Historical Library or purchased.
This collection includes the Dean of the Yale School of Medicine's correspondence and copies of minutes and reports concerning New Haven Hospital, the New Haven Dispensary, and Grace-New Haven Community Hospital; broadsides and brochures concerning these institutions and Yale-New Haven Hospital;miscellaneous materials including historical accounts of the hospital; and newspaper clippings.
The records consist of correspondence, memoranda, reports, curriculum materials, subject files, faculty and personnel files, and financial and administrative files of the deans of the Yale School of Medicine. Included are records of deans George Blumer, Milton G. Winternitz, Stanhope Bayne-Jones, Francis G. Blake, Cyril N. H. Long, Vernon W. Lippard, and Robert W. Berliner.
Correspondence, writings, lectures, printed matter, and memorabilia. The correspondence is made up largely of family correspondence, with a smaller amount of professional letters. Among his professional papers are lectures on pathology, offprints of his articles (1908-1946) and scrapbooks (1898-1954). Included also are letters of condolence to his family and biographical sketches on his death in 1959.
