Letter written by Lillie Stein from Shepherdswell asking her cousin Eva to take a card to collect pennies which will help "teach the Irish to read the Bible in their own language" and send the card to her so that she can send it to "a lady living in Leamington". The collection card was enclosed with the letter. Lillie tells Eva that she is called the "Dover twig" for her two years of work collecting pennies. Asks that Eva say a prayer every day to ask God to bless the world.

Mentions that it has not been warm enough to sketch outside, although she has done a few flower paintings. Is pleased that Eva's cough and is better and wishes her a happy birthday.

Addressed from Park Hall in Evesham. Eva's friend discusses a holiday party that Eva missed where there was acting and dancing. The girls were dressed as different flowers, except for someone who dressed as Father Christmas. Cynthia stays "I do not feel in a writing mood, if you understand what that means....Please do not show this letter to anybody but Hester and Sylvie as it is not fit to be seen." Writing in graphite on the last page in another's handwriting which appears to be a poem.
