Laurence Hutton (1843-1904), literary editor of the "Literary Notes" Department at Harper's Magazine from 1886 to 1898; lecturer on English at Princeton from 1901 to 1904.

Accompanied by a note from Austin Dobson to Hutton dated 1888 Nov 20. Dobson presented a catalogue to Hutton which Hutton in turn presented to Beverly Chew with Dobson's letter.
