Trevor-Roper, H. R. (Hugh Redwald), 1914-2003

The papers consist of correspondence, writings, printed material, notes, speeches, and other papers of Wallace Notestein, historian, teacher, author, and Sterling Professor of English History at Yale from 1928-1947. The bulk of the papers consist of letters received by Notestein from other historians, scholars, writers, students, and publishers and relate largely to academic and professional matters, to politics, and to his personal life.

The Meryle Secrest Papers, which span from 1900 to 2019, contain writings, notes, correspondence, research materials, and computer and audiovisual media related to the life, work, and primarily the writings, of Meryle Secrest. Correspondents include Svetlana Allilueva, Kenneth Clark, Hugh Leonard, H. R. Trever-Roper, and Herman Wouk. The collection also contains photographs of Amedeo Modigliani and Elsa Schiaparelli.
