- Scope and Contents
-
The collection contains incoming and outgoing correspondence of the chapter secretary and others, membership lists, information on local lectures and annual chapter banquets, minutes of the National Council, and discussions at the local and national levels on qualifications for forming chapters and for individual memberships. Debates centered on how broadly to define graduate education in public health. Much of the correspondence was that of John H. Watkins, a Yale Ph.D. and faculty member who served as Secretary of the Epsilon (Yale) chapter to 1939. He was succeeded by Martin Allen Pond. Also included is the published pamphlet: Delta Omega, Organization, Constitution, By-laws, List of Members, 4th ed. (1937).
