Scope and Contents

Series VII, Autograph Collection is organized in five subseries: Correspondence; Scrapbook; Writings; Other Documents; and Prints. Materials are arranged alphabetically by letter writer, author, signer of the document, or engraver or artist. A long descriptive note for the Scrapbook, found in the Oversize section of the register, provides name access to the material it contains and is given in series order with scrapbook page numbers provided.

Opening Hours

Access Information

The Beinecke Library is open to all Yale University students and faculty, and visiting researchers whose work requires use of its special collections. You will need to bring appropriate photo ID the first time you register. Beinecke is a non-circulating, closed stack library. Paging is done by library staff during business hours. You can request collection material online at least two business days in advance of your visit, using the request links in Archives at Yale.
