Scope and Contents
Boxes 8-36 hold Series II, Correspondence. In addition to letters received by James Boswell, this series also contains personal papers and writings of several members of the Boswell family and other individuals. The bulk of the material is arranged alphabetically by author. For more specific information, consult the galleys to the Catalogue, located in Box 8, folders 246-49.

Access Information
The Beinecke Library is open to all Yale University students and faculty, and visiting researchers whose work requires use of its special collections. You will need to bring appropriate photo ID the first time you register. Beinecke is a non-circulating, closed stack library. Paging is done by library staff during business hours.
