Series VIII: Photographic Negatives, 1896 - 1915

 Series
Call Number: WA MSS S-1175, Series VIII

Scope and Contents

This series consists of photographic negatives created by McClintock that chiefly depict Piegan Indians and their environs, as well as locations in northwestern Montana.

McClintock applied alphanumeric numbers to his photographic negatives.

Glass and film negatives with the headings Supplemental Negatives Designated by Library Staff were formerly interfiled. Due to preservation concerns, library staff separated negatives by their medium in 2011-2012. The negatives retain the numbering from the interfiled sequence.
