Scope and Contents

Boxes 17-20 hold Series III, Subject Files, which is divided into four sections, Exhibition Catalogues, Newspaper Articles, Other Printed Material, and Photographs. McBride did not contribute to these printed materials in any significant way. Exhibition Catalogues are arranged by artist, then by title. Newspaper Articles are arranged alphabetically by subject. Other Printed Material is arranged by author or artist, then title. Photographs are arranged by artist of the art work depicted. Folders in this final subseries may contain more than one artist.

Restricted Fragile Papers in boxes 32-40 and 49 may only be consulted with the permission of the appropriate curator. Preservation photocopies for reference use have been substituted in the main files, or can be requested.

Opening Hours

Access Information

The Beinecke Library is open to all Yale University students and faculty, and visiting researchers whose work requires use of its special collections. You will need to bring appropriate photo ID the first time you register. Beinecke is a non-circulating, closed stack library. Paging is done by library staff during business hours. You can request collection material online at least two business days in advance of your visit, using the request links in Archives at Yale.
