Series I: Writings, 1914-60
Scope and Contents
Boxes 1-6 hold Series I, Writings, which is divided into three sections, Novels, Poetry, and Shorter Works. The first section, Novels, is arranged alphabetically by title, and material within each title has been placed in the following order: notes, drafts, and fragments. Poetry, in the second section, is divided into drafts published in The Last Lunar Baedeker and other drafts. A folder of printed reviews completes the division. The third section,Shorter Works, is arranged alphabetically by title followed by unidentified fragments. A few manuscripts of verse and prose are filed in Box 7 because of their size.

Access Information
The Beinecke Library is open to all Yale University students and faculty, and visiting researchers whose work requires use of its special collections. You will need to bring appropriate photo ID the first time you register. Beinecke is a non-circulating, closed stack library. Paging is done by library staff during business hours. You can request collection material online at least two business days in advance of your visit, using the request links in Archives at Yale.
