Scope and Contents
The series of Alfred Stieglitz's correspondence is organized in three subseries: Personal and Business Correspondence; Family Letters, and Stieglitz-O'Keeffe Letters. The correspondence is arranged alphabetically, with letters from and to unidentified correspondents filed at the end; Within each folder the letters appear in chronological order with undated material at the end. A date following a cross-reference refers to the specific folder in which the letter will be found.

Access Information
The Beinecke Library is open to all Yale University students and faculty, and visiting researchers whose work requires use of its special collections. You will need to bring appropriate photo ID the first time you register. Beinecke is a non-circulating, closed stack library. Paging is done by library staff during business hours. You can request collection material online at least two business days in advance of your visit, using the request links in Archives at Yale.
