Collection of approximately 50 tracts, almost entirely manuscript, concerning British politics and government. Many document relations between King Charles I and Parliament, including copies of speeches before Commons by Bagshaw, Grimston, Owens, and Pym and copies of petitions to the King by the Scottish Parliament and the Berkshire Grand Jury. Other topics include the royal succession, taxation, and court practices.
This collection was a manuscript volume that has been disbound. The original order has been retained, and the item numbers assigned by the volume's creator have been placed in parentheses at the end of each title.

Access Information
The Beinecke Library is open to all Yale University students and faculty, and visiting researchers whose work requires use of its special collections. You will need to bring appropriate photo ID the first time you register. Beinecke is a non-circulating, closed stack library. Paging is done by library staff during business hours.
