The Anne Brigman Papers contain photographs, writings, and printed material documenting the work of Anne Brigman. Included among the papers are four paste-up copies of Brigman's book of photography and poetry, Songs of a Pagan and one paste-up copy of her second book, Wild Flute Songs. The papers also contain early typescript drafts of Songs of a Pagan, clippings on Brigman, exhibition notices and flier, and other printed material.

Anne Brigman, photographer and poet. She was among the original members of the Photo-Secession movement.

Two printed material items are missing from the papers: "Institute's Department of Photography Presents an April Exhibit of California Studies by Anne Brigman” and "Catalogue of photographs by Anne Brigman exhibited in San Francisco, ca. 1908-1909."

Opening Hours
Access Information
The Beinecke Library is open to all Yale University students and faculty, and visiting researchers whose work requires use of its special collections. You will need to bring appropriate photo ID the first time you register. Beinecke is a non-circulating, closed stack library. Paging is done by library staff during business hours. You can request collection material online at least two business days in advance of your visit, using the request links in Archives at Yale.
