The collection contains research material and drafts for "The Selected Letters of Edward Rowland Sill," edited by Barbara D. Simison and Stanley T. Williams. Materials include the following: correspondence between Simison, Williams, and others relating chiefly to Sill's correspondence; copies (transcriptions) of Sill's correspondence, catalog cards listing correspondence, manuscript notes, and multiple drafts. The bulk of the collection dates from the editors solicitation of information about Sill's correspondence, starting in 1942, to a 1953 draft of "The Selected Letters," though correspondence relating to the work includes a brief 1965 exchange with an academic publisher.
