Scope and Contents
This accession contains the case files, legal files, and permits from the Natural Resources Defense Council v. Arco Alaska case. Arco, an oil company, was sued to cease the pollution of Prudhoe Bay and the Kuparuk River. This lawsuit led to a victory for the Natural Resources Defense Council, resulting in a cessation of this pollution by Arco Alaska. This accession includes depositions, initial findings, and pleadings from the case; all materials document the strategies employed by the Natural Resources Defense Council in this lawsuit.
