The materials consist of meeting minutes documenting the activities of the Yale Women's Coordinating Council.

Biographical / Historical

The Women's Coordinating Council (WCC) was an administrative assemly of members of Yale organizations that coordinated programs, interest groups, communications, and served as a sounding board for all women at Yale. It formed in 1969 when members of the Yale Student Wives joined the Council of University Organizations (1965), which previously included members of the Yale University Women's Organization (1965), Yale Dames (1918), and Yale Newcomers (1924). The WCC later included members of the Faculty Club, Divinity Wives, Law Wives, Forestry Wives, Around the World Wives, and Medical Wives.
