Scope and Contents

The materials consist of correspondence, memoranda, specifications, articles, reports, sketches, photographs, floor plans, notes, booklets, and related materials documenting the planning, construction, renovation, and use of Yale buildings.

Conditions Governing Access

The materials are open for research.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The materials have come from a variety of sources, including transfers from the Yale offices concerned with building design, construction, and maintenance; other Yale offices; and individual donors. Additional materials concerning Yale buildings and facilities that do not form an integral body of records on their own may be added to this collection.

Arrangement

The materials are arranged in two series: I. General documentation, 1906-1974; II. Documentation on specific buildings, 1747-2006; and subsequent accessions.
