These papers consist of an autograph collection composed of over two hundred letters and a few other documents, most signed by English political figures and authors of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The materials have been arranged in alphabetical order.

Biographical / Historical

William P. Wreden was a rare book dealer and publisher. He entered the rare book business in 1937, and was also the owner of Pinole Land & Cattle Company, California. He published Bibliography of Valentine Greatrakes.
