Scope and Contents

Correspondence of William W. Starr and others, and related documents, all dealing with harbor maintenance and improvements in Bridgeport and Norwalk, Connecticut, make up the William W. Starr Papers. Many of the papers originate with the Engineer's Office of the United States Army. Included are contracts with the Army for work on the harbors, a petition concerning dredging, receipts for material and labor, notes on harbor maintenance, clippings and printed matter.
