Abstract

The papers of Charles Cheney Foote consist of medical school lecture notes, an account book, and an index of medical conditions and medications.

Biographical / Historical

Charles Cheney Foote was born on September 6, 1825 in Jamestown, New York. He graduated from Union College in 1849 and then attended lectures at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New York. He also attended lectures at Jefferson Medical College of Philadelphia, from which he graduated in 1851. Foote practiced medicine in New Haven, Connecticut with his father, Elial Foote. He died on November 9, 1871.
