Scope and Contents

The Charles Maurice Fleischner Papers consist of correspondence, reports, writings, and printed material which document Charles Fleischner's friendship with Henri and Marguerite Focillon and his work as deputy chief of the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives Section of the Office of the Military Government for Germany (U.S.). Included in the correspondence of the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives Section are exchanges with Louis Bancel LaFarge and Lamont Moore.

Fleischner donated his papers to the Yale University Library between 1986 and 1988.
