Biographical / Historical

Mining agent and broker; an obituary described him as "a pioneer broker and mining man of New York and the Michigan copper district"; he is listed in Trow's New York City Directory from 1859-1884 with his occupations variously listed as mining agent, treasurer, secretary, broker, banker; his office was on Nassau St., and later on Pine St.; his residence in Brooklyn, and later in Stamford, Ct.
