Scope and Contents
Piozzi discusses Ann Moore ("the fasting woman of Tutburry"). Piozzi's health has improved, and her "heart--as it is Empty--has Pretentions to be light." Rain has finally come, quieting "Fears of Famine", but the farmer Jones and his family still suffer from poor health. Piozzi also mentions the biting "Edinburgh Reviewers" and Kingston's "Vindication of Oxford University." People mentioned: Anne Moore, Mrs. Mostyn, Farmer Jones of Pontriffeth, Mr. Moore, Miss Allen, Mrs. Heaton, Miss Ashburne, Selina Thackeray, Kingston and Lady Keith.
