William Holman Hunt letter to Richard Redgrave, 1865 [?] January [?] 7
Scope and Contents
"Dear Redgrave, I am sorry that I cannot hope to entertain the members of the Etching Club on Tuesday week - the 17th - because it is improbable that I shall have done my work here by that time - and I do not like to leave till I can bring my picture with me for the meeting of the following month. I hope I shall be ready to take the place of the member who takes my duties on this occasion. Unless something [...] releases me here I shall be absent at the meeting of the 17th wherever it occurs so I must ask you to express my regrets that I cannot be present and my best wishes to each of the members for the new year. Yours sincerely, W. Holman Hunt."
