Scope and Contents

Collection of post cards mostly of French and English medieval architecture, as well as a variety of other Western European monuments, collected by Sumner McKnight Crosby and donated to the Sterling Memorial Library upon his death in 1982. The collection is boxed as received in 1982 and is divided into three sections: Boxes 1 and 2: post cards arranged alphabetically by building; Boxes 3 and 4: post cards arranged alphabetically by place; Box 5: miscellaneous black and white photographic negatives of medieval architectural monuments. A limited number of post cards contain comments on the reverse.
