Scope and Contents
The collection includes programs, photographs, and stage directions related to Cupid and Psyche, a masque performed in 1916 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Yale School of the Fine Arts. Walls served as the stage manager and committee chairman for the masque, in addition to designing the stage and scenery. The collection also includes architectural drawings by Walls for a theater at the Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, CT, and correspondence related to Walls’s consultations with the Display Stage Lighting Co., Inc.

Biographical / Historical
Franklin Jasper Walls (d. 1964) was trained as an architect and graduated with a BFA from the Yale School of the Fine Arts in 1917. Walls was also active in the School’s Department of Drama and the Elizabethan Club.
