Published songs by the American composer and pianist Celius Dougherty (1902-1986)
Biographical / Historical
Celius Dougherty was born in Glenwood, Minnesota on May 27, 1902. He was educated at the University of Minnesota and the Juilliard School, where his teachers included Josef Lhévinne and Rubin Goldmark. As a pianist, he specialized in accompanying singers. He composed in a variety of genres, but was best known for his songs. He died in Effort, Pennsylvania on December 22, 1986.
