William McBrien papers

 Collection
Call Number: MSS 131

Scope and Contents

William McBrien's papers pertain chiefly to Cole Porter, and arise mainly from the research for his book Cole Porter: A Biography (New York: Knopf, 1998). They include research materials, sound recordings, and other items. McBrien's original arrangement has largely been preserved, so some topics are covered in more than one series. A few items have been re-labeled or re-filed for the sake of clarity.
