Official documents regarding Chinese indentured laborers in Cuba in the nineteenth century. The documents include death certificates, new contracts, official petitions to the court, documents outlining the movement of workers, documents concerning fugitive people and imprisoned laborers, arrest warrants, and identification documents.
Barnaby Conrad papers
The papers consist of writings, printed material, photographs, and artwork by and relating to the American author and artist Barnaby Conrad. Material relates primarily to Conrad's published works Fun While It Lasted (1969); La Fiesta Brava: The Art of the Bull Ring (1953); Matador (1952); and Barnaby Conrad's Encyclopedia of Bullfighting (1961). Among the papers are unsorted typescript and handwritten drafts of writings.
Cuban slavery collection
Official documents pertaining to slavery in Cuba, mostly from Matanzas, Cuba. Documents include death certificates for enslaved people, petitions for freedom from slavery, documentation of disputes, prisoner correspondence, and arrest warrants. Some death certificates specify the cause of death, the plantation or enslaver, and the enslaved person's origin in Africa.

136 letters between Spanish Nationalist André Landín and his family members, 1936-1946. Letters document Landín's service in the Spanish Civil War, his time in the Spanish army, his service in Russia with the Azul Division, and his assignment to the Army Ministry after the war. The bulk of the correspondence is between Landín and his wife, Marichrista Landín.
