The George Whitmore Papers consists of the literary papers of the poet, playwright, critic, novelist, and freelance writer George Davis Whitmore. The collection primarily contains his writings and supporting research files, though a small amount of professional correspondence and a few personal papers are present.

Autograph manuscripts relating to Whitney's research and translations of the Atharvaveda, including a copy in Sanskrit, with notes about source manuscripts; a transliteration, collated with manuscripts in Berlin, Paris, Oxford, London, and Tübingen; a draft for his Index Verborum; and unidentified drafts and notes, most apparently relating to his English translation. Drafts and notes include material by Rudolf von Roth and annotations by Charles Rockwell Lanman.

The collection contains writings, lecture notes, syllabi, research notes and notebooks and other materials documenting the scholarly career of American philosopher John Daniel Wild. In particular, the papers concern Wild's work on aspects of Phenomenology and Existentialism during the last decades of his career.
Oscar Wilde collection
Letters by Oscar Wilde to various parties, including Leonard Smithers and Frank Harris; letters between persons acquainted with Wilde, several manuscripts of writings by Wilde, including a notebook on Roman history, notes on travels in France and Spain, and "Phrases and Philosophies for the use of the young"; and several ephemeral items relating to Wilde.
Wilder family correspondence
The collection consists of photocopies of letters to and from Thornton Wilder and other members of the Wilder family. The correspondence roughly spans 1910-1975 and the photocopies were likely made between 1990 and 2009. The photocopies were made for members of the Wilder family from materials previously acquired by the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library and other research libraries.

Included are extensive letters to his close friends Amy Wertheimer and William Layton; letters of literary advice to Joe Etta Lee Clarke and Hester Pickman; and materials concerning his publicist, Lee Keedick, and his publisher, Harper and Row.
