John Woolman Brush papers

Abstract:

The John Woolman Brush papers consist of materials documented and compiled by John Brush himself throughout his career. The collection spans from Brush’s early life after high school in 1914 through his retirement, with the latest materials being comments from the late 1970’s in some of his earlier journals, and letters from the 1980’s.

The collection is split into five series: Correspondence, Educational Materials, Pastoral Materials, Writings, and Journals and Diaries.

Campbell Family Papers

Abstract: The papers document two generations of Baptist missionary effort in South China. Extensive biographical and autobiographical material gives insight into the personal lives of the Campbells. Conditions in China during World War II are reflected in the letters of Louise and Dorothy Campbell. The Campbells were a family of missionaries in China. George Campbell and his wife, Jennie Wortman Campbell served in South China (1887-1916). Four of their eight children continued missionary efforts....

Issues of Peace and War Pamphlet Collection

The collection includes material from more than 170 organizations, as well as topically arranged materials. This open collection of primarily printed material centers on a core of pamphlets, reprints and notes donated to the Divinity Library by Professors Roland H. Bainton and Kenneth Scott Latourette and by Yale alumni Dana Dawson (MA 1942), Ernest Lefever (BD 1945) and Vernon H. Holloway (BD 1936, PhD 1949).
