The papers of Harry Clement Brogan consist of printed materials, memorabilia, and photographs relating to Brogan's student years at Yale, particularly commencement activities in 1920 and 1923, as well as his participation in Yale's Reserve Officers' Training Corps. A personal collection of vintage postcards depicting Connecticut towns is included in the papers.

The materials consist of photographs of Yale and New Haven. Included in the collection are building, sports, circus, and beach scenes. Many of these photographs were used in This Was Connecticut: Images of a Vanished World (1977).

Correspondence and legal and financial papers relating to a controversy with Yale University over a house to be constructed for Robert Brown's use as secretary of the Observatory. Included are letters from Hubert Anson Newton, William Whitman Farnam and William Kneeland Townsend. Also in the papers is correspondence concerning the Yale secret society, Scroll and Key.
Letters from Eugene O'Neill, Jr. to Lois Williams Bry, 1925-49; printed versions of O'Neill, Jr.'s articles and reviews, many inscribed to Bry; and subject files (mainly clippings) collected by Bry about O'Neill, Jr., his friends, and his family.
The collection is comprised of photographs used in We Minded the Store Yale Life and Letters During World War II (1975) by Polly S. Buck. The photographs depict student life in Branford College, Yale University, during the years 1944-1946, a large majority of which are of the Navy ROTC. The collection also includes photographs of individual students and clippings.
