A collection of autograph letters and manuscripts gathered by Anson Phelps Stokes and designed to document the history of Yale University.
Thomas W. Streeter collection of Texas manuscripts
The collection consists of letters, land claims, court papers, financial documents, public documents, narrative descriptions, and histories, recording the early history and development of Texas, including the conflicts between Texan and Mexican officials that culminated in the Texas Revolution. Each part is arranged alphabetically by the author, item title, or subject. Accompanied by Streeter's catalogue of his collection in two notebooks.

Tarleton family papers
Correspondence, autograph album, genealogical notes, photographs and miscellaneous papers of the Tarleton and Lightfoot families of Alabama. The major figures represented in the collection are Robert Tarleton, his wife Sarah Bernard Lightfoot Tarleton, and Sarah Bee Ross Lightfoot. Most letters were written by Robert Tarleton and date from the Civil War period. The papers also contain an 1834 letter from Marquis de Lafayette to the President of the French Chamber of Peers.

The materials consist of photographs from the class album for 1868. Most of the photographs are of Yale buildings and grounds, but there are a few pictures of classmates.
Underwood family papers
Principal figures in these papers are Clara A. Case Underwood, her daughter, Clara Beatrice, and son, Eugene Bertrand. Included is some family correspondence (1860-1904), an autograph album kept by Clara A. Underwood, European travel diaries and notes written by Clara Beatrice Underwood (1903), and various certificates of membership and diplomas of Eugene Bertrand Underwood and his first wife, Lottie Elizabeth Treat Underwood.

Alfred White Van Sinderen Collection
The collection consists of letters of thirty-five presidents of the United States from George Washington to Lyndon B. Johnson. Each is represented by one letter written in office and one written after leaving office. There are also fifteen other letters either written by a United States president or relating to a United States president.
