Chick Tract Collection
Controversial tracts written and illustrated in comic book style by Jack T. Chick since the early 1960s document a fringe element of American Christian fundamentalism and provide valuable insight into the reaction of evangelicalism to cultural upheavals in America society.
Records of Religious and Benevolent Societies, Organizations, and Meetings
This collection contains publications of primarily American and British organizations, societies, conferences, and councils. The publications provide primary source documentation of organizations that focused on a wide variety of issues, ranging from sabbath observance to tract and Bible distribution to support of widows to religious education to ecumenical programs, etc.
Tracts
Collection of approximately 50 tracts, almost entirely manuscript, concerning British politics and government. Many document relations between King Charles I and Parliament, including copies of speeches before Commons by Bagshaw, Grimston, Owens, and Pym and copies of petitions to the King by the Scottish Parliament and the Berkshire Grand Jury. Other topics include the royal succession, taxation, and court practices.
Tract and Graphic Novel Collection
This collection contains tracts and graphic novels primarily published in the late 20th century and early 21st century. Many of the publications are representative of conservative American Christian religion and provide valuable insight into the reaction of evangelicalism to cultural upheavals in America society.
