Abstract: Correspondence, memoranda, writings, and diaries relating to his career with the U.S. Forest Service. Two reports: "The Survey of Industrial Forestry in the United States" (1928-1931) and "Problems and Progress of Forestry in the United States" (1942-1946) are the subject of most of the correspondence.
