Abstract:
The papers consist of printed material and photographs relating to a trip made by Mary Loughlin (later Bierman) to Germany in 1946 in her capacity as a staff member of the Office of the Quartermaster General, U.S. Loughlin gathered data on civilian supply problems, such as displaced persons' requirements, German import requirements, rationing systems, caloric evaluations, price controls, distribution and stock control procedures, population statistics, fiscal budgets, and related topics.
