The early correspondence (1773-1774) includes letters from and to Guy's uncle William Johnson, and concern his illness and desire for Guy Johnson to succeed him as Indian Affairs Superintendant. William's correspondents include the Earl of Dartmouth, Secretary of State for the Colonies, and General Thomas Gage.
