Overview: Correspondence, writings, photographs, slides, and collected material document the life and work of Sidney and Olive Anderson, who were Methodist missionaries in China and Hong Kong from 1915 to 1963. They were instrumental in the development of the Moore Memorial Church in Shanghai and spent twelve years in Hong Kong after 1951 working with refugees from mainland China and at the North Point Methodist Church.

Lyman and Sadie Hale were American Methodist missionaries to China from 1915 to 1941 and 1945 to 1949. They were stationed in Wuhu (1916-1925), Nanjing (Nanking) (1925-1927, 1945-1949), Shanghai (1927-1929), and Zhenjiang (Chinkiang) (1929-1941).
