Overview: The Miriam Hapgood DeWitt Papers consists of original and photocopied material, including letters, documents, and literary papers, related to the journalists and authors Hutchins Hapgood (1869-1944) and Neith Boyce (1872-1951), their forebears, and their circle of intellectuals, social reformers, and artists. The collection was created by their daughter Miriam Hapgood Dewitt (1906-1990), with the assistance of her sister Beatrix Hapgood Faust (1910-1994).

James Marshall Osborn Research Files

Overview: Lecture and class notes, research files and other papers, card indexes, and microfilms compiled by James Marshall Osborn during the course of his studies at Columbia University and Oxford University, as well as his time teaching and curating at Yale University, 1932-1973. Included are Osborn's paleography files, which consist of 296 examples relating to seventeenth-century English government and law. There are also three 16mm silent film reels, two of which are titled "Tour to the Hebrides."

Edward Roth medical school notes and medical practice case books

Overview: Edward Roth was a graduate of Bellevue Hospital Medical College in New York city in 1880 after the required attendance of two years. The collection consists of ten volumes, the first five of which are Roth's notes on medical school lectures and clinics from 1878-1880. The remaining five include four volumes documenting his clinical practice in New Haven, 1891-1893, and one volume with a few entries on practice in Massachusetts in late 1893.

Stillman King Wightman papers

Overview: The papers consist of correspondence, lecture notes, financial papers, and writings relating to Wightman's student years at Yale University and his early legal practice. Correspondents include his parents, his Yale classmates, his brother-in-law, and various young men and women (mainly from Middletown, Connecticut) who were his friends. The notes are from lectures and other activities in Yale College. The financial papers are for his college expenses.
