Collection of papers relating to the career of California real estate agent Fred H. Brice, 1923-1978. Includes 105 file folders documenting property transactions in Alameda County and Contra Costa County; 120 remittance receipts from real estate and insurance firm Mason-McDuffie Co.; an accounting ledger recording expenses and income; and a record book with tipped-in paperwork, including contracts and correspondence with buyers and sellers.

Abstract:

44 autograph diaries, unsigned, kept by Knute Jensen, 1925-1976. Jensen primarily records his meals and the weather, but also writes of odd jobs and his ongoing search for employment in Montana, California, and later, Oregon. Occasionally recorded are births, deaths, and marriages, and world events. Accompanied by membership cards, postcards, newspaper clippings, railway tickets, and other ephemera tucked into diary pages.

Circa 130 buttons document political and social conditions in California; circa 40 buttons concern Angola, Chile, Cuba, El Salvador, France, Ireland, Lebanon, Namibia, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Tiao-Yu Tai (or Diaoyu Dao), the United Kingdom, and Vietnam.
